1 These are actual results that Attorney John Lovell has accomplished. Every case is unique. Publication of these results is not intended to promise the same result will be reached in similar cases. Please contact Mr. Lovell to discuss the facts of your case.

For release January 2015
During the last year or so, John Lovell has tried, as sole counsel, five trials. Mr. Lovell has seen a remarkable run where all five trials ended with acquittals on all or the most serious counts:
United States v. W.E.:
Not Guilty of Murder in Furtherance of Federal Racketeering
Not Guilty of Use of a Firearm in Furtherance of Murder
(A conviction would have required a life without parole sentence)

State v. A.L.:
Not Guilty of Felony Obstruction of Officer

U.S. v. E.M.:
Not Guilty of Attempted Murder in Furtherance of Federal Racketeering
Not Guilty of Use of a Firearm in Furtherance of Attempted Murder
Not Guilty of Attempted Murder in Furtherance of Federal Racketeering (Directed Verdict)
Not Guilty of Use of a Firearm in Furtherance of Attempted Murder (Directed Verdict)
(In this case, Mr. Lovell’s client was innocent of two attempted murder charges and two gun charges, a total of four counts that would have resulted in a virtual life sentence)

State v. G.F.:
Not Guilty of Simple Battery

State v. J.G.:
Not Guilty of Battery
Not Guilty of Simple Battery
Not Guilty of Two Count of Cruelty to Children

Mr. Lovell also experienced remarkable results without having a trial:

In Re: S.M.
Dismissed-Distribution of a Controlled Substance in Juvenile Court

State v. L.M.:
Dismissed-Simple Possession of Marijuana

State v. J.M.:
Evidence suppressed in illegal search and seizure

State .v. G.F.:
Pretrial Diversion on Simple Battery Charge

State v. N.K.:
Dui reduced to Reckless Driving

State v. Numerous:
Dismissal or reduction of numerous other cases involving smaller charges.

These results are not guaranteed in all cases. Mr. Lovell had the good fortune of representing a number of innocent clients. Of course, it is the innocent clients who need the best counsel. Prisons and jails house numerous innocent people who were not represented by a knowledgeable and effective attorney.
